Bobby Joe Menton, 79, passed away in Kaufman, Texas on Friday, September 2, 2016.
Bobby was born in Rice, Texas on September 10, 1936 to Fred and Maebell (Emmert) Menton. He grew up in Rice and attended school there. He served his country proudly in the United States Army.
He drove a truck for Lone Star Beer for ten years and enjoyed farming and ranching over the years.
He is survived by two sons: Eddie Menton and wife, Lisa, and Joe Menton; two grandchildren: David Clevenger and wife, Miranda, and Aaron Clevenger; great-grandson, Eli Clevenger; brother, Marcus Menton and wife, Linda along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Maebell Menton, brothers, Narvil Gene and Albert David and sister, Rachel Parker.
Memorial services were held on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at 1 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis with Marcus Menton officiating.
