Grace Cummins

Amazing Grace Nell Hagan Cummins, 96, went to be with the Lord on March 25, 2016, surrounded by her family in Mesquite, Texas.

Grace was born July 15, 1919, in Burkburnett, Texas, to parents Alva Lee Cox Hagan and Ralph Charles Hagan.

Grace was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Raymond Jr. Cummins.

Grace owned a florist in Ferris, Texas, for 25 years. She loved working with her hands and making things beautiful. She was always redecorating her home, and she would also redecorate your home-whether you asked her to or not!

She loved pets, children, and people in need. She believed there was goodness in everything and everyone –no matter what the circumstances.

She did NOT believe in: “I can’t.”, “I’m not good enough.”, or “I’m TOO whatever (fat, bald, dumb, clumsy, skinny, …).”

She believed that with God ALL things are possible-not just for her, but for everyone.

Instead of flowers, do an unexpected and unsolicited act of kindness for some poor unfortunate soul in need. Tell them it’s from Amazing Grace. Or if you would like you may send flowers.

The burial will be held at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery located at 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX, 75211 on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 – at 2:15 p.m. On Thursday, March 31, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. a Memorial Service will be held at Believers Chapel in Dallas, Texas, at 6420 Churchill Way, 75230, with a reception following.
